ObsTek aids Waterside Security at the Commissioning of SSN 777 the USS North Carolina
On
May 3, 2008 ObsTek provided radar, AIS and Blue Force tracking to the Port
of Wilmington, North Carolina for security at the commissioning of the USS
North Carolina (SSN 777). The transponders were an
addition to the Port’s Mariner’s Eye Port Watch system which provides AIS
and radar for port waterside security. The transponders were used by the
USCG patrols for Blue Force Situational
January 2008
ObsTek installed the Mariner's Eye Port Watch system at the communications center for Eckerd College Search and Rescue. ECSAR provides the Tampa Bay region with SAR services using student volunteers. The Mariner's Eye Port Watch system currently provides the location of all of the ECSAR assets and is used to coordinate the search and rescue operations.

ObsTek has been selected to provide a Radar based port security system for the Port of Wilmington in North Carolina. The system will provide detection of small vessels and water craft. This system will be linked to the Safe Navigator C2 display in the command center providing the port 24/7 all weather waterside security.

ObsTek has been selected to provide a Radar based VTIS in Venice, LA. The system will provide detection of all traffic along the Mississippi near Venice using the radar and AIS.

ObsTek along with Team Prime Ciber have been selected to provide a MicroRadar based port security system for Port Freeport in Texas. The system will provide detection of small vessels and water craft. This system will be linked to the Safe Navigator C2 display and Ciber's HMS system providing the port 24/7 all weather waterside security.
November 2005
Under contract to the Pilot's Association for the Bay and River Delaware, ObsTek has installed an AIS on the Delaware Memorial Bridge. This AIS has been networked with the Pilot's Association's Mariner's Eye Port Watch system giving them coverage of the entire River and Bay. Thus the Ports of Philadelphia, South Jersey and Wilmington are now covered by the Pilot's Mariner's Eye Port Watch system.

The PolSAR system is being completed and tested for full production release in September. The system will be put in the field to start inspection contracts in Texas and New Mexico. This is the first standoff pole inspection system. The system uses radar to image the inside of wooden utility poles and cross arms. The system has proven to provide an increase of over 10 fold in wood rot detection.

ObsTek is installing a Mariner's Eye Port Watch at Philadelphia International Airport. The system includes AIS receivers, C2DB displays and cameras. The system will be used to provide warning of tall vessels approaching the airport .
